Glorifying Christ One Blog at a Time

I found this piece tucked away in a box when I was cleaning out my basement. I do not remeber writing it or the situation I was in when I did. All I know is it was written on a Bethel Christian Assembly stationary. Maybe you can make sense of what I wrote:

I was on a sea that was smooth as glass, green like an emerald, but as dull as salt water. The sky was bright white, almost yellow. Before me was a seventy foot long tunnel that was one hundred feet high. I was in a small canoe when I heard a voice saying "Just go on in." It sounded like the Holy Spirit! As soon as I paddled into the stone tunnel I felt an intense fear come over me; but it was an awsome fear. Then a huge ship came into the tunnel and began to sail toward me with a loud roar.
When I awoke the same fear was all around me but when it left, I longed for it!

The picture that came to my mind was of a big fish swallowing a little fish - death swallowed up in life though or Jonah and the whale. Doesn't it kind of make you wonder what happened? It would be interesting to hear what the Lord gives you in response.

It's like staring death in the eye, but it's ok because it's only death to self--"I must decrease..." Marvelous. :-)

Wow. It's always cool to look back and see what our experiences were with God. That is the benefit of a journal. =)

Did this happen to you during revival? When the renewal hit our church in BC, Canada, I had dreams and visions, and experiences similar to that. The Holy Spirit is so powerful that we are overwhelmed, but once experienced, we always long for it. Just a thought.
