Glorifying Christ One Blog at a Time

This poem was written years ago when, because of a disagreement, the people we worked with turned against us. I had forgotten this incident and had and have definitely forgiven those involved....I just happened to find this poem a few days ago and thought I would work on finishing the end of it.
I hope Christ's love comes through.....Maureen:))♥

FORGIVENESS....

How soon they turn like savage beast
Jackalls at the kill
Wounding the heart, draining life
The memories haunt me still

Aquaintances and friends, dear friends
Children of the flock
Sheep of His pasture, led astray
The wounds go deep, they mock

Forgive them Lord for this frenzy
Open their eyes to your grace
Open my heart, that I may extend
To them Your kind embrace.

Thank you so much Carmen.....this happened while we were gone...so no connection...but I know where you're coming from too!
As long as we keep our hearts open for Jesus and for His forgiveness to flow....that's the most important thing.

Wonderful post Maureen. It's true that the ones who we love the most are often the ones that can hurt us the deepest. I've had hurts that have run deep as well, and like you I too have chosen to forgive. Nice to see more of your work on here!

Oh, Lord forgive them for they know not what they do, in their darkness.
Oh , what vicious claws that strike out with their tongues, where is God's Love ?
Oh, His Love is in the forgiveness we give, in mercy and grace.
Oh, Lord may I find rest in your wisdom that surpasses all understanding.
