Writer's Edge

Glorifying Christ One Blog at a Time

You have called me to be who I am.
Your purposes beyond my scope.
What's meaningless? What has worth?
You have not asked me to know it all
But to trust that...
You have called me to be me

Your focus, Your plan
Sometimes blurred by my failures, my desires outside of You.
But always there are my laugh, my tears, my fears & challenges.
On the path I take on the road to my heavenly home.
You have called me to be me

Never an excuse to cause hurt or harm...me being me.
Not O.K. to approach life with a half hearted attitude.
Though I have done just that many times. Yet?
You have called me to be me

They say 'back in the saddle'. You say back in Your Word.
They say 'if it feels good do it'. You say "If you love me follow my commands".
Do I trust in the me that I've reformed?
No! Only in the me that you have and continue to transform.
You have called me to be me

Standing before you on that day
I melt in your presence overwhelmed by your rest.
Did I surrender my all before the end?
Did I offer myself fully a living sacrifice?
While I remain on this side of eternity let me be ever aware of your calling.
Let my eyes be opened daily and my hands prepared to do all you have planned.
Let me be full of praise because you have made me a piece of your pattern,
Only a thread in your complex design.
Forever grateful that you have called me Your own.

A wonderful way to make one's mind think & examine their soul!

Angie, that was a great post. =)

Reflective writing is a great way to connect with your audience. And when it is reflective between you and the Father, all the better, because then your audience can enter into that reflection with God as well. =)

More, more, I want more. ;)

Very good!! You are a writer.. I love the part that says,"Do I trust in the me that I've reformed? NO! Only in the me that you have and continue to transform"

Nice Angie--especially the prayer in the last verse!
