I was wrong. I was out of line. I was full of frustration and anger. I allowed all of my thoughts and disappointments to boil over, and having nowhere to release my emotions, I exploded.
When we keep our emotions bottled up, it can be disastrous. Like a pressure cooker of canned goods, we let off steam in order to release the tension that builds up inside. “Pressure cookers have a reputation as a dangerous method of cooking with the risk of explosion (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pressure_cooki…

Thank you. As I mentioned this is a new direction for me. I wasn't sure I should join right away due to my desire to be fully committed to anything I start out to do. Tami explained that there are 2 ways to participate. I may have to be an online only for a bit until the door opens up for me to do more. I've been blessed with what I've read so far. There are such talented people participating. I'm really green :-) But am usually up for a challenge and willing to step out of my comfort zone.
Thanks again,
Angie

Oh, you're welcome. I've been enjoying reading some of the blog posts on here. I joined a month or so ago through an invite from Maureen Olafsen, who is a friend of mine from way back. I enjoy writing for fun and have a blog called Bubbling Springs and Random Things. I'm also a member of a writing E-Circle with the Story Circle Network. I've written short devotionals for the back of the bulletin of a small church I attended quite a few years back, as well as a Newsletter I did up for the kids once a month. It was a lot of fun. I write for the enjoyment of it. Thanks for saying hello! ;)
Blessings....Maureen:)
Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed the rant and enjoyed the feedback.

I just recommended this site to an aspiring Christian writer... it will be a great resource.
While going through the submissions of the members of the site and juxtaposing other writings against mine I am finding out some things about my "voice".
When writing about all things of Faith I find there frequently is a voice, somewhat a religiouse (deliberate spelling.... sort of like Christianese" kind of tone that creeps in. It is not the way folk talk in the circles I run in. Perhaps I need a bigger circle so I won't get so dizzy!
Anyway, there is a particular "voice" that is somewhat intangible but very real, that most people use when speaking to issues of faith or Christ. It is that very voice that I am working so hard to alienate from my work. I can use that voice very well, and I am nearly ashamed of most of the work I have in my portfolio that was completed before I began my quest to be shed of it.
I am very willing to have my comment challenged... and even berated if need be. It was on my mind and heart, so I mentioned it here to see what you would have to say about that. So, my Sister in the Lord.... what say you?
Blessings!
Kevin
