Enjoyed your blog post Carmen.....doesn't it all come down to intimacy....people fear intimacy in real life and so they look for it in other ways.....True intimacy in marriage is a type and shadow of how our intimacy with the Father and Jesus shou...

Thank you so much Carmen.....this happened while we were gone...so no connection...but I know where you're coming from too! As long as we keep our hearts open for Jesus and for His forgiveness to flow....that's the most important thing.

Wonderful post Maureen. It's true that the ones who we love the most are often the ones that can hurt us the deepest. I've had hurts that have run deep as well, and like you I too have chosen to forgive. Nice to see more of your work on here!

Amazing poem! I really enjoyed reading it. Anger is hard to deal with because it can show up in so many different ways...even depression is anger turned inward! Thanks for a wonderful read!

Great Post Maureen! We so often forget "Who" we're talking with, don't we? One thing we're guilty of is making God too small in our eyes...and we do it without even thinking. I'm so glad He's patient with us...He knows what we're made of! =)

Just wanted to say *Thank you* to both of you for your comments.....I have been laid up with a very painful shoulder injury so have been avoiding my computer as it causes more pain. Thanks for encouraging me too....to keep believing.

I have to keep reminding myself again and AGAIN...faith is a CHOICE. Fear can certainly keep us from belief...when you have been disappointed time and again. I must CHOOSE to believe God can and even wants to : )

Sometimes (too many!) I think that if I were in Jesus' sandals, I would be so FRUSTRATED with me! His boundless grace helps me to keep believing for that moon.... :-)

Forgiveness

This poem was written years ago when, because of a disagreement, the people we worked with turned against us. I had forgotten this incident and had and have definitely forgiven those involved....I just happened to find this poem a few days ago and thought I would work on finishing the end of it.
I hope Christ's love comes through.....Maureen:))♥

If I Dare...

This scripture touched my heart this week....

Mark 9:17-24

The scripture is telling us about the man in the crowd, who's son was possessed by a spirit -
He brought the boy to Jesus to cast out the demon, because the disciples could not.

The words that struck me were from v22b thru v24 - The man says, "But if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us."
Jesus says, " If you can'?" "Everthing is possible for him who believes."
Immediately the boy's father exclaimed, "I do be… Continue

The Room...

There's a room in my castle called anger
which I try to ignore and hide,
but every so often, the door pops open,
and everyone see's what's inside.
The room to me is a shame I must say
it's not brightly painted, but black and grey.
The curtains are drab, the windows are dim
and I must admit, not much light gets in.

There's times when I go to this room alone
I sit and complain and mumble and moan,
There's times when I try to take other's there
but they look at me in horror and stare.
Me thinks I… Continue

Miracle in a Storm...

Tempestuous clouds, a furious squall
Angry rains belting down
From the heavens did fall...

Giant waves break all over the boat
The vessel is swamped
"Come on, bail her out...let's keep her afloat!"

Jesus is tired, He lays His head down
Disciples say, "Teacher,
Don't you care if we drown?"

Jesus awakes, He holds up His palm
"Quiet, be still", He says to the storm
Then the wind and the waves are completely calm.

"Do you still have no faith?"..."Why are you afraid?"
His disciples He asked, as t… Continue
