Thanks, Yvonne! Creating in ten minutes is a challenge! I always want to edit everything I do for at least a half hour, even if it takes just moments to write!

Sweet Kris. I love the similes of the sunrise and sunset, the rainbow and the rainbow trout. Very well put! And the ending is great too. I love that you tied in creation being God's reminder that He is always with us. =) Kudos my friend!

Hi Kris! I was hopeing you could give me a little guidence. I have put together a compilation of three short novels and two short stories called: The road less traveled, and was moving forward with my book proposal and query letter. I was wondering if I should acquire an agent first or submit directly to a publishing house first? Any advice you could give would be much appreciated. Thank You, Eric

Kris, Well first I'll start by saying, Hello! It would be rude to begin a conversation any other way. Now.. I can get right to the point. I would really love your help. Its a real long story so I'll give you the short version. I am going back to school to get my High School Deploma. Ya, you read it right.. I had learning problems and well, lets just say the school gave up so I left. I never gave up though, and am persuing my promise to complete this land mark in my life. I need one English credit and the school I am going through will count my writings. I do not have to send them all of my writings, which would be impossible anyway, but would need to send some of them. I was hoping that you would assist me by looking them over and guiding me in smothing out the wrinkle, if you know what I mean. I have 6 blogs so far, but do have many more thoughts on my computer. I would appriciate any help you could offer. Thank you and have a great week. Tami

I know her name is Karen, she works in tech and her husband plays guitar on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nites. So, I could find out her last name easily enough. Just bring yourself, and probably your book. I may bring a treat of some kind, but right now I'm not sure.

When did you start writing for God?
This would be hard to pinpoint, as I have been a writer since grade school. But it all really exploded after I became Christ-centered in September 1999 after being pursued by the Holy Spirit, caught, and born again! That set me to writing PURPOSEFUL CHRISTIANITY: SHARING THE VERVE AND THE VALUE OF THE PRINCE OF PEACE, published in 2005, after I had been in a Bible study for four years.

My own blog http://almostfamousbydesfault.blogspot.com is secular and multi-faceted, but there's a lot in it, off and on, that's evangelical in nature. We've gotten into numerous discussions (with agnostics, people of other faiths, and others) as a result of it. It has been fascinating and always stays respectful and sane. (I'd refuse to publish anything to the contrary -- anything not respectful and sane, but so far -- in a year -- I have never had to refuse a single submission.) People are really hungry for spiritual feeding -- and of course we all know Who is behind it all (whether they do themselves or not): the Holy Spirit.

This site is going to become a real blessing for so many people. Thanks, Yvonne, for starting it up and making it all happen!

Writer's Edge Was Held at The Antique Sandwich Shop... and We Had a Blast!

The rain didn't dampen our spirits or shutter our plans for a wonderful Writer's Edge meeting. Instead of meeting at Point Defiance, we were welcomed with open arms by the Antique Sandwich Shop, where each of us wrote something (in ten minutes!) about God's Creation. Yvonne, our fearless leader, asked us to post here what we wrote... so, being obedient... here you have it:

The Two-Hour LIVE Radio/Internet Interview with Me Went Very Well!

So many Christian De Kelley fans called in to say hi, make a comment, or ask a question during the radio interview that the program resonated quite nicely as a spiritual piece most of the time! (I prayed for that for days... and it happened!)

If you get a change, please use this URL to logon and listen to it and let me know what you think about my ministry to Trekkies!

Poem By Maya Angelou

Christians by Maya Angelou

When I say..."I am a Christian"
I'm not shouting "I'm clean livin."
I'm whispering "I was lost,
Now I'm found and forgiven."

When I say..."I am a Christian"
I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble
and need Christ to be my guide.

When I say..."I am a Christian"
I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak
And need his strength to carry on.

When I say..."I am a Christian"
I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have fa… Continue

My New Book is Available to Download Now...

My newest book about actor DeForest Kelley (the actor who portrayed Dr McCoy in the original Star Trek series; he was my mentor in real life and I was his personal assistant and caregiver at the end of his life) is available to download now. I think Christians will truly enjoy it (as they did my first book about De, DeFOREST KELLEY: A HARVEST OF MEMORIES) because De was a true image-bearer of Christ. His legacy in fandom is still bright and ongoing. He had a ministry (just as his preacher father… Continue
