I do believe that we all have a voice in writing, as you suggested, but that is a good thing, not a bad one. My opinion of that is not to compromise your voice for the sake of not sounding too preachy, if that is what you mean. I don't recall Jesus watering down the words He spoke to gain popularity or not to step on any toes. On the contrary, He wasn't a people pleaser, He was a God pleaser.
As for your writing, it is great. It's up to you on what you share and how you share it (I was just talking to the class about this...be transparent, but not too transparent). I'm not into censorship on this web site. This is a place to practice writing and be free to let others know what interest you and share information that would be beneficial for whoever reads it.
Bottom line is this: if you worry about how your voice sounds on paper, it will always bother you when you write and it will severely affect your writing. Be yourself and learn to enjoy your writing. And besides, no one really talks like they write, and it's not a good thing to compare the two. That's my opinion anyway. ;)
Blessings,
Yvonne
I almost didn't recognize you with out the guitar thingy (whatever you call it) in your hand! =)
Hope you have a great time cruising around this site. Leave us some words of wisdom too!
