Enjoyed this post. We keep a pretty close eye on current events as well. I don't know how people can miss some of the signs of the age. Sometimes I wonder if I'm strong enough to survive any kind of persecution...we've been lulled into such a fals...

I've been thinking about God's wisdom in giving us pets. I love animals, especially cats. I believe that they are God's special gift to us. Love, with fur on!! Always there, always longing for our attention, always ministering to us in some way. L...

Congratulations Eric! That IS good news...very encouraging!

A really enjoyable post to read! Especially to me since I hail from Europe (Holland actually, I've never been to Germany). My Dad served in Germany for a while when he was a young man after the war. I believe he was on a ship. Anyway, back to your...

Enjoyed your blog post Carmen.....doesn't it all come down to intimacy....people fear intimacy in real life and so they look for it in other ways.....True intimacy in marriage is a type and shadow of how our intimacy with the Father and Jesus shou...

Wonderful post Maureen. It's true that the ones who we love the most are often the ones that can hurt us the deepest. I've had hurts that have run deep as well, and like you I too have chosen to forgive. Nice to see more of your work on here!

Interesting thought Jean. You're right of course. Prayer really does change things, and what happens in the spiritual realm, affects the physical realm in ways we don't always fully realize. Even cities have a feel to them. When we travel, that is...

Yep, garbage in - garbage out. Prefer that God comes in and reflects out. Because the world is watching us looking to see if what we "do" lines up with what we say.

I absolutely agree with you there! Especially in today's world where people spend more time on FB or MySpace, etc., than actually meeting with someone. You never know who you'll touch. Plus, it's God's original way of reaching us, and what's good ...

We are to be prudent and wise. Once my hubby gave money to a poorly dressed woman begging on the streets. A few hours later, he saw her in Safeway, normally dressed, her buggy heaping with groceries. He recognized her, she recognized him and blush...

Profile Information

When did you start writing for God?
About 15 years ago. My first "published" writing was a devotional placed at the back of the bulletins of the small church I attended. I also did a newsletter for the children once a month with puzzles, games, questions and treats if they answered the bible question correctly. I write for the enjoyment of it.
What is your primary writing genre?
Non-fiction
Are you published?
No, just what I mentioned above.

Paradise Now!

We humans love short cuts don’t we? We want what we cannot have and we want it now! We’re never content, we always want more, and we’re extremely self-centered. So it was only a matter of time before someone would come up with a shortcut for life. In this world of computers, is it any surprise that we can now have the life of our dreams? Our own paradise if you will?

The devil hasn’t really changed his strategy much in the many years we’ve been on this earth. He doesn’t have to. His strategy wo… Continue

Fruitful Expressions

I’ve been thinking a lot about living my faith through my words. Of course I aim to live righteously and to be aware of what I think and do, but I’ve noticed that it’s awfully easy to say things flippantly without fully thinking them through. Have you ever done that? This is what I’m talking about. I’ve been doing a summer bible study and came across these verses in Proverbs 13:2,3.

From the fruit of a man's mouth he enjoys good,
But the desire of the treacherous is violence.
The one who guards… Continue

The Good, The Bad, and the Properly Clad

Matthew 22: 2-13 "Then he said to his servants, 'The wedding banquet is ready, but those I invited did not deserve to come. Go to the street corners and invite to the banquet anyone you find.' So the servants went out into the streets and gathered all the people they could find, both good and bad, and the wedding hall was filled with guests. "But when the king came in to see the guests, he noticed a man there who was not wearing wedding clothes. 'Friend,' he asked, 'how did you get in here witho… Continue

Resting In My Father's Arms

Life certainly isn’t as simple as it used to be, and things are getting harder all the time. My father-in-law loves to reminisce about the good old days. “I only made $25 a week back then, you know,” he would often say. That’s quite a revelation…until you consider that rent was only $7 a month! Can we truly compare those days with today, or are things too different now? He lived in the beginning of the age of knowledge. It was the best of times! However, today we live in a world that is spiralin… Continue

Carmen, thanks for the encouragement that you are sending out.

I see you are from Kamloops. I have relatives there. My parents are actually heading up there this weekend too.

Did someone invite you to this web site? Just curious.

Looking forward to reading some blog posts from you.
