Writer's Edge

Glorifying Christ One Blog at a Time

Hey there. Hope you are enjoying your writing times with the Lord. I want to encourage you to allow the Holy Spirit to develop the gift He has given you to write. In doing so, I am endeavoring to put together some resource links to help you with your writing. If you have any resource links for writing that you would like to pass on, please click on the "send a message" on my page and let me know.

Remember, Christ is our focus, and the glory belongs to Him!

Bible Study Tools - It's important to study the Bible if we are inclined to write about it. In order to be "approved" in our teachings, we need to know a lot of background information about the times, places, and teachings of the Bible. Here are a couple of web sites that offer study tools:

http://bible.crosswalk.com/ - One stop for all your studying needs. From Lexicons to scripture reference, and commentaries to dictionaries, crosswalk.com  has it all. (Also build your faith, as you hang out and read articles for women, men, singles, finances, spiritual life, and more!)

Query letters, submissions, book proposals, and so much more - As Christian writers, we need to tap into the vast resources of Christian writing that will help us achieve God's will for our lives. In order to get our writing into the hands of various audiences, we need to learn how to write query letters, book or magazine proposals, submissions to editors, etc. Here are some resources for accomplishing those tasks:

http://cba-ramblings.blogspot.com/2007/12/how-to-write-query-letter.html - This blog is geared toward Christian writers who need information about how to write.
