Writer's Edge

Glorifying Christ One Blog at a Time

I clarify a win when our members get published (or even when they feel good enough about something they've written to submit it for publication or public viewing), or when what they write goes onto a stage, or when what's in their heart reaches out and touches another in such a fundamental way that the one touched knows they have been touched by God via one of His children.

A win is when someone else wins. As writers, we have visions, but as long as they remain in us and are not shared, they benefit no one else. Writing is all about getting what we know about God "out there" so someone else can experience it, sense His presence, and claim the blessing.

Initially, my thought was that a win happens when anyone who reads a post, article, or whatever, and is edified somehow; convicted, encouraged, healed, or entertained--bottom line being that good seed had been sewn. Sometimes though, I think just posting or submitting something is a win; for me it can be like a bold-faced above-the-belt shot to the spirit of fear.

I think you are absolutely right! =)

A win happens when someone, in our case the reader, takes away something positive that they can use for good. We need to write to edify. There has to be substance for the reader to take something with them. There is a reason they are reading what you wrote, they are looking for something that they can use and share with others. =)

Sandy, guess what...you are a winner! =)

Amen, Sandy!! By the way, you blessed me yesterday as you worshipped with all your heart. That's always a win!! Remember, "He hasn't given us a spirit of fear", want you to know that you are a powerful piece of dynamite, and the enemy runs when you worship!!!!

I agree, a win is when someone else wins. And, a win is when an individual recognizes God has given them talents and gifts to extend to others, and they give it away for God's glory.

Kris, because you are helping in this ministry, I win. Thank you. =)

Kris, you are a winner! =)

****aaawwwww**** Thanks! I appreciate the appreciation, but you know -- for me -- the best "review" will come from our "gang" as each one gets out there individually and blesses the socks off everyone with their God-given messages and hearts! "Blessed to be a blessing" is RIGHT ON!

Hugs to all!

You two rock!! You will never know what a blessing it has been in my own life that the two of you started Writer's Edge. I am in touch with a friends in England who is also interested in connecting with us. She has been writing for years and used to live in Cranbrook where we lived, and so I emailed her hoping she would join us. So, we may be going international!!!

Well Pat....you did go *international* now....as I have joined....and you may be going *international* again, as I asked my friend Carmen from Kamloops, BC, Canada to join.
She's on holidays right now (Ainsworth Hot Springs....I know you know where that is!)....so give her a while.
Blessing to you all....and nice to be included.....Maureeen:)

Hi, Maureen, just wanted to let you know I love your new photo. I had to look twice on FB to make sure it was you, LOL!! What have you been writing lately?

OOOh, I like that. We all like to win, but I envision in Writer's Edge that we will all rejoice when someone else wins. I think the Bible says, "Rejoice with those that rejoice". I believe in the near future we are going to have the opportunity to do just that. I am so looking forward to our next get-together. I'm excited about those north of Seattle that have just joined us, hopefully they can come down so we can meet them.
