Writer's Edge

Glorifying Christ One Blog at a Time

Seeing the leaves changing color and feeling the coolness in the air, watching children board buses, and anticipating the fair - all these things remind me that fall is near.

A new season brings about new change. As children are transported to new schools and seeking new friendships, I am looking forward to God's school of new beginnings. I am happy to be in a season of teaching and learning, growing and yearning for more of God; yes, it's a new season indeed.

"To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven (Ecc. 3:1)." What will your new season bring? Are you anticiapting change, or resisting it?

I love living in a region of the country where we have four definite seasons. And I welcome each one, as they are all different, of course, I enjoy some better than others!! When I retired a few months ago, I started feeling, "Lord, is this it?" Now what? When you first talked about starting a Writer's Club out of CFAN, I never dreamed it was the beginning of a new season in my life. I'm eager to learn all I can, and to give out all I can. I can't stop talking about it! I have to be honest, this is the first time in a long time that I have been challenged to step out and believe God for something new and fresh. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

A new season, a new begining, maybe with new scents or sounds or emotions of the past. Sittuations in your life that you have burried deep, deep, down in your spirit and have forgotten, but He brings then up with a order or sound or even a place. When we say Jehovah Ralpha, God is my Healer, we think of the physical, but what about the spirit man, how do you heal him? Have you walked side by side with someone who has scares from their past lives and have you taken them down the road to healing or do we ignore them? Where are they?

I know that He reaches down and gentlely grabs your hand and walks you through those dark hidden places in your heart. He knows them, each and everyone of them as we travel down that familar road of the past. The pain wells up again as it comes to rememberance, but He reaches down with His loving finger and heals each wound and wipes away every tear. My spirit is renewed as He mends this broken vessel made of earth and my life is renewed as new season begins in my life. Reply by Jon Montes

Jon, I love that comment! I really like what you said: "I know He reaches down and gently grabs your hand and walks you through those dark, hidden places in your heart. He knows them, each and everyone, as we travel down the familar road of the past."

Very well said. Thanks for sharing. =)

Jon, well expressed!

Without his healing touch, I think I would be too fragile to exist.

Thank you for your words.
